About UW CNE

Important Notice About UW CNE Program Operations

For many years, the UW School of Nursing’s Continued Nursing Education (CNE) program has strived to offer valuable opportunities for continued educational opportunities to the community; however, the landscape of CE has dramatically shifted, heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure that we are able to continue to best meet the needs of our partners and extended nursing community, School of Nursing administration has made the decision to sunset the current CNE program, effective September 1, 2024.

This determination comes after extensive assessment of the feasibility and sustainability of the unit’s current operating structure. While the decision to sunset a program is never an easy one, we remain committed to exploring new models that align with the changing CE landscape. On behalf of the University of Washington School of Nursing, we would like to thank you for your collaboration and participation with the Continuing Nursing Education unit.

Thank you for your partnership and collaboration with the University of Washington School of Nursing’s Continued Nursing Education (CNE) program. We understand the impact this decision has on our nursing community, and we hope to be able to serve you again in the future.
